A Dream Come True

For me, I keep on dreaming, I have a lot of dreams that I want to achieve like finding a better life for my family and having a good career in the near future. To have an own car and support my kid, Dal so that he can live to be independent. By the time comes, when I can build my own family. I can give my kid a better food, shelter, cloth and the most important is education. To be honest, there's still none of these dreams that I have mentioned comes true but I don't lose hope on it. I'm been worried for my son Dal about his math ability that there is still a long way to get to high school and then university. As long as you can have hope and work hard in order to achieve your dreams and one day your dreams can come true.

As long as I can remember, Dal talked about going to college, one in particular. When I first heard about it, I was afraid and worried for him because he has lost interest in math, and for him to go there and experience all the wonders it has to offer he will need to take the math exam as a science student.

When Dal was 6 years he told his dream of becoming a world-famous scientist for our country but as he growing I realize that he just want to become a successful scientist or have a good career in the field of Science. Back in his elementary days, he used to have challenges in his Math and as a result he used to hate math. Fortunately, In the first semester of grade 6 after finish the tryout he was one of those few selected to represent their school team playing football although he was just a reserved player he was very grateful because there are only 3 grade 6 players that have been selected.

About 2 years now (January 2022), right in my home after work, Dal came to me while resting on the couch. He showed me a site “AmazingTalker” an online learning platform. I saw how they boast and advertise their greatness, with so many comments from students and teachers. AmazingTalker is not only a great online learning platform for education and experience, but the best that has a lot to offer. There are many tutors at which to learn, and there are many subject areas to keep students occupied and entertained. So, I search for a Math tutor who can help my son, Dal in this mess.

AT attracts thousands of students from all over the world to study in its awe-inspiring environment. Having a wide variety of majors and fields of study, almost everyone can find what's right for them. Although I got messages from 5-6 tutors and hoping I can find the best of the best that can make my son’s dream achievable. ALAS! I found Teacher Dayo as a perfect match and in the first class, Dal had changed his mindset about Math.

Over the past year, he has learned plenty of math concepts which encouraged him to frantically try to learn more. In every class, Teacher Dayo always tells Dal “You are the artist of your life. What you can create is what you can become”. Dal has been learning math with the math magic teacher from his grade 6 through grade 7 and now grade 8. I can tell he's getting better each day.

Over a month ago Dal told me something I had to share with Teacher Dayo. He said “I only needed to worry about one thing: getting accepted and making my dream a reality. When most of my classmates were just beginning to figure out where they wanted to go, I have known mine. I have been working hard to keep my grades high, staying active in math, and studying to earn an excellent GCSE and SAT score to meet my dream university’s standards.” I was very joyful at his words, and so was Mr. Dayo.

In the recent time, he went to a math competition his school nominated him and other good students for and fortunately he was one of the 10 finalists representing the school in the last stage of the competition. He is finally making me a proud mom.🤗🤗🤗

Dreams can be a powerful force. With perseverance, they can come true. Teacher Dayo Peter’s effort, encouragement and hard work proved Dal’s worthiness to achieve his dream while about going to high school in Singapore. Now that he has been accepted in high school in Singapore, he need to prove himself so that his dream can remain a reality.

      Dreams need a full support from friends, family, relative and even great teachers (like Mr Dayo Peter)🤩. Your dreams can come true if it is in your destiny. One thing I learned about Dal’s learning experience is Failure makes a person more stronger and better if he doesn't give up. One day, your dream can come true if you believe and not give up and keep continue dreaming.
